Professor Francesco Amenta, former Professor of Human Anatomy at the University of Camerino, is a renowned researcher specializing in neuroscience, telemedicine, and cognitive dysfunction. He served as Dean of the School of Medicine and Health Products Sciences (2014-2012) and has been President of Fondazione Centro Internazionale Radio Medico (C.I.R.M.) since 2011. His work includes research on neurotransmitter systems, brain aging, Alzheimer's therapies, and telemedicine innovation. He has authored 569 scientific publications and coordinated the ASCOMALVA clinical trial, which demonstrated the efficacy of combining cholinergic precursor alphoscerate with donepezil in slowing Alzheimer’s progression. His research is featured in the Encyclopedia of Neuroscience of Dementia.
